LaFlair, Lawrence (b. ABT 1911)
Note: NEWSPAPER ARTICLE - SYRACUSE AMERICAN - 23 SPET. 1928 - PAGE 15
This article discusses a court case whereby Lawrence's father is suing to have
the marriage to Lawrence's mother annulled. Lawrence's parents were first
cousins once removed when they were married. On the wedding license, Emma's
name is listed as "Emma Beique". Emma was pregnant when they were married.
Harvey claimed he was not the father and was coerced into marrying Emma.
Emma's sister contends that Harvey is the father. When Emma was committed to
an institution, her mother, Mary Polly wanted to keep the child, but Harvey
took him. I never did follow up to see if the annullment was allowed.

Mary Violet LaFlair Boyer claimed that Harvey's family only lived one block
from her family when they were growing up. She also states that after the
marriage Harvey purchased a house in Ogdensburg.
