Mrs. Josephine B. Recore, 85, of 1 Front St., died Wednesday afternoon in the Alice Hyde Hospital.
Born in Malone, June 5, 1885, she was the daughter of James and Ann Dumais Blanchard and lived all of her life here.
At one time she was employed on the maintenance staff of the former Schines Theater.
She was married to Mose Recore, who died in 1964.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Florence) Gibbo of Malone; two sons, Leonard of Fulton and Lawrences of Utica; one brother, Frank and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude St. Onge and Miss Margaret Blanchard all of Montreal and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. John Bosco Church.

Florence M. Gibbo, 89, of 57 Edward St., Malone, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at the Massena Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena.
Born in Odgensburg, Aug. 11, 1908, she was the daughter of Mose and Josephine Blanchard Recore.
In 1925, she married Myron Haskell. He predeceased her in 1941. She then married Walter Gibbo in 1946. He predeceased her in 1978.
Mrs. Gibbo worked for the Schine's Theater in Malone for several years. She later worked as a nurses aide in Malone for many years. She retired in 1971.
Mrs. Gibbo was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Malone. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, watching television and listening to country music.
Surviving are a son, Loren Haskell and his companion, Joan Leabo of Malone; a grandson, Tony Cole and his companion, Amber Yaddow of North Bangor; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and two husbands, she was predeceased by three brothers, Lester, Clarence and Earl Recore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m., at Notre Dame Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer presiding.
