Walling, Edith (b. ABT 1884, d. 4 DEC 1954)
Note: CENSUS RECORDS
[1910 U.S. Census / New York / St. Lawrence / Ogdensburg]
Edith is 27 years old and is living at 107 Main St. with her husband Ernest
(29) and children Ernest (11), Lewis (9), Raymond (7), Ruth (3), and harold
(11 months). She and Ernest have been married for 12 years. She has had five
children and all are still alive. Edith was born in New York state.

OBITUARY - MRS. EDITH EASTERDAY - 7 DECEMBER 1954
Mrs. Claude Easterday, the former Edith Walling died at Willow Grove, Pa. on
Saturday, 4 December 1954. She was the sister of the late William Walling of
Ogdensburg. She had been in failing health for some time, but visited with
relatives in Ogdensburg the summer before her death. She is survived by her
husband, three sons, Ernest Russell (Willow Grove), Raymond Russell (Syracuse)
and Harold Russell (Syracuse), three daughters (Mrs. Fred (Lois) Matthews
(Dallas, Texas), Ruth Ressell and Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Belfatti (Willow Grove),
several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

COMMENTS
Edith was married at least twice. I have some information that she may have
been married to a LaFlair and lived in South Hampton, Pa. She was first
married to Ernest Russell of Ogdensburg when she was 15, by whom she had at
least seven children. They divorced sometime between 1914 and 1922. Ernest
remained in Ogdensburg, and Edith moved to Pennsylvania. Her last husband was
Claude Easterday, with whom she was living in Willow Grove, Pa. Apparently
when Edith and Ernest divorced, Edith kept the children, because most of them
were living in Willow Grove when Edith died.
