Leon "Baby Lee" Recore, 37, of 48 Amsden Street, Malone, died Tuesday, Oct 18, 1983, in Mary Fletcher Unit, Burlington Medical Center, Vermont, where he had been a patient since an explosion and fire at his home August 20 which also claimed the life of his wife Kathryn, last friday.
He had been in critical condition since the time of the fire.
Born in Malone, August 3, 1946, he was the son of the late Romeo (Bil) and Martha (Girlie) Hodges Recore.
He was married to Kathryn A. Myers Sept 28, 1968 in St. John Bosco Church by the Rev. Peter Paladini.
He was a bus driver for ARC Children's Corner where he was also a teacher's aide. He served with the 196th Field Artillerary National Guard Unit in Malone.
Surviving are a brother, Ronald of Malone; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Lamitie and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Gaulin, both of Malone, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his only son Lawrence, in April 1982; two brothers, William and Donald, and a sister, Mrs. Salina Ward.
He was a member of St. John Bosco Holy Name Society and was an avid softball player, hunter, and fisherman.
Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in St. John Bosco Church with Rev. Mario Pacini, a personal friend of the family officiationg.

Funeral arrangements have been completed for Kathryn A. Recore, 34, who died Friday, Oct. 14, 1983, in Mary Fletcher Unit, Burligton Medical Center, Vermont, as the result of burns suffered in a fire and explosion which destroyed the Recore home August 20.
Born in Malone, Nov. 14, 1948, she was the daughter of Floyd and Shirley Marshall Myers. She graduated from Franklin Academy.
On Sept. 28, 1968, she was married to Leon Recore in St. John Bosco Church by the Rev. Peter Paladini. She was a housewife all of her life.
Surviving are her husband who is a patient in Mary Fletcher Unit, Burlington Medical Center, several aunts and uncles, including Mrs. Lillian Jessmer of Vicksburg, Miss.; Mrs. Paul (Colleen) Brown, Mrs. Janice LaPage and Mrs. James (Patricia) Benware, all of Malone, Robert Marshall also of Malone, Gerald Marshall of Indian Orchard, Mass., Thomas Marshall of Westfield, Mass., and several other aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Oct. 11, 1982; her mother, April 29, 1983; a son Lawrence, April 27, 1982; a brother Charles, Oct. 4, 1978, and an Uncle, Charles Marshall in March 1983.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John Bosco Church.

Donald Ulyss Lamitie, 44, of Constable, died yesterday afternoon at his home after a long illness.
Born in Malone, May 19, 1922, he was the son of Mrs. Pearl Dupra Lamitie Bigness of Malone, and the late Albert Lamitie.
On Sept. 4, 1954, he was married to the former Elizabeth Recore in St. John Bosco Church by the Rev. Edward Rivette. She survives. He was a veteran of WWII and served overseas in Germany and France. He received a good conduct and victory medal. He was a member of Malone Post of the American Legion.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Donna 10; two sons, Don 11 and Dale 8; four sisters, Mrs. George (Loretta Allen) of California, Mrs. Norman (Esther) Poirer of Brimsfield, Mass. Mrs. Pauline Allen of Morrisonville and Miss Norma Lamitie of Malone; three brothers, Herbert and Lee of Malone, and Willard of North Bangor, several nieces and nephews. Two brothers Armand and Leslie predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetary.

Salina R. Ward, 44, of 77 Front Street, died yesterday, Feb. 2, 1979, at the Alice Hyde Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Malone, March 26, 1934, she was the daughter of Romeo and Martha Hodges Recore. She was married to Edward G. Ward Aug. 23,1952, in Malone. He died Dec. 6, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Pauline) Stacy, Jr. of Malone; a son, William of Malone; two brothers Ronald and Leon, both of Malone; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Lamitie and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Gaulin, both of Malone; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Edward, who died at birth, and two brothers, Donald and William.
She lived most of her life in Malone and attended Malone schools. She was employed by Tru-Stitch and Bea-Jay Manufacturing a total of 22 years before becoming disabled in 1973. She was a member of St. John Bosco Church.
Funeral Services will be held at noon Monday at St. John Bosco Church.
