Mrs. Cordelia Recore, 85, of Constable St. Road, died last night at the Alice Hyde Hospital, where she had been for the past 17 days. She had been in ill health for about 2 years.
She leaves 124 direct descendants.
Born in Malone, Sept 26, 1881, she was the daughter of Julius and Forbelia Reome Golden and lived all of her life here. She married in 1901 to Nelson Recore, who died in 1935.
Survivors include four sons, Wilfred and Henry, both of Malone; Peter of Canandaigua, and Amos of Worchester, Massachutes; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Ida May) Ashman of Southbridge, Mass., and Mrs. Stern (Nettie) Prue and Mrs. Harold (Della) Bigness, both of Malone; 38 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in St. John Bosco Church.

Henry Nelson Recore, 82, of Lower Park Street, died Thursday, May 11, 1989, in Alice Hyde Hospital.
Born in Malone, Feb. 4, 1907, he was the son of Nelson and Cordellia Golden Recore.
Mr. Recore was first married to Delia Lamica, Sept. 20, 1926, who predeceased him in 1949.
He was then married to Martha Lamica Reyome, Aug 17, 1951, who survives.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, John of Southbridge, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Vera) Barnes of Constable; several granchildren and great-grandchildren; a stepson, Gerald Reyome of Malone; two brothers, Amos of Holyoke, Mass., and Peter of Malone; three sisters, Ida May Ashmann of Fort Covington, Nettie Prue and Delia Bigness, both of Malone,. Several foster children also survive.
Mr. Recore was predeceased by a son Reginald, in March 1987 and a daughter, Cleviola, in infancy; a brother, Fred, and a sister Anna Lamica.
He lived all of his life in Malone and attended local schools.
For 30 years, from 1924 to 1961, he was employed by the Malone Bronze and Powder Works. Beginning in 1961, he worked for Ballard Mill for three years. Later he was employed by the Malone Lincoln Mercury Dealership and Malone Bakery. Finally, he was employed at the Crossroads Restaurant, Moira. Mr. Recore retired in 1972.
He was a member of St. John Bosco Church and the Holy Name Society.
Burial will be in the parish cemetary.

Nettie Prue, 86, formally of Lower Park Street in Malone, died Monday, August 11, 1997, at the University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worchester, Mass.
Born on November 24, 1910, in Malone, she was the daughter of Nelson an Delia Golden Recore. They predeceased her.
She lived all her life in Malone and attended local schools. She was a housewife all her life.
Mrs. Prue first married Clarence J. Lamica on June 6, 1929. He predeceased her on July 2, 1947.
Her second marriage was to Stern Prue on April 29, 1958. He predeceased her on December 17, 1983.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Renard and Vivian Lamica of Malone, and Percey and Carol Lamica of Southbridge, Mass.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Alberta and Alfred Griffith of Worchester, Mass., Betty Jean and John Soucia of Lyndonville, and Corrine Downer of Madrid; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Recore of Malone; and a sister Delia Bigness of Malone.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter, Aurelia Lamica; two brothers, Wilfred Recore and Henry Recore; and two sisters, Anna Lamica and Ida May Ashman.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Bosco Cemetary.

Amos J. "Mickey" Recore, 77, of 10 Eddy St. died Tuesday, December 15, 1992, after a long illness.
Born in Malone, NY, March 23, 1915, he was the son of Nelson and Delia Golden Recore.
He worked as a grinder and steelworker at the former Arduini Manufacturer Company in Worcester for 20 years, retiring about 20 years ago.
Mr. Recore was a WWII Army Veteran. As a first class private, he fought in the battle of Oran, Algeria, in November 1942 and in the Tunisian Campaign in December 1942.
He was a prisoner of war and a recipient of the Purple Heart and other military medals.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church of Webster, a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, District Four of Worcester and the Chester P. Tuttle Post of the American Legion, 279 in Auburn.
Surviving are his wife, Alice T. Richard Recore; four sons, Robert N. Recore of Auburn, Richard A. Recore of Webster, Mark A. Recore and James A. Recore, botth of Worcester; seven daughters, Anne M. Recore, Margaret P. Burns, Jean Denham and Louise Denham, all of Webster, Rachel Delvalle, Carol Recore and Donna Tuck, all of Worcester; a brother, Peter Recore of Malone; two sisters, Ida Mae Lamica of Southbridge and Delia Bigness of Malone; 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. and Mrs. Recore celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on May 31, 1992.
Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetary.
