Martha Recore, 81, of 16011 Lower Park St., died Saturday, May 27, 1989, at the CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh.

Born in Malone, Nov. 21, 1907, she was the daughter of William and Lavina Degon Lamica.

She was married to Adrian Reyome in October of 1925. He predeceased her in 1950.

She then married Henry Nelson Recore on Aug. 17, 1951. He predeceased her May 11, 1989.

Mrs. Recore lived all of her life in Malone and attended Malone schools. She and her husband, Henry Nelson Recore raised more than 100 foster children in the home.

She was a member of St. John Bosco Church and St. John Bosco Altar Rosary Society. Survivors include a son, Gerald Reyome of Malone; six granchildren and several great-grandchildren; a stepson, John Recore of Southbridge, Mass.; a step-daughter, Mrs. John (Vera) Barnes of Constable; a brother Bernard Lamica of Malone; and three sisters, Rachael Mulverhill of Malone, Rubina Nye of Lowville, and Cecelia Lamica of Malone.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Leon, William, and Laverne; a sister, Ethel Rivers; and a stepson, Reginald Recore.

Funeral Services were held this morning in St. John Bosco Church with Rev. Peter Paladini officiating. Organist was Sheila Maneeley. Soloist was Alice Huggins. Readings were done by Stanley Lamica. Pall bearers were David Mersinger, Robert Recore, Richard Recore, Ralph Deshane, Karl Reyome, and Ken Garceau.
