Judware, Henry (b. 25 APR 1892, d. 1953)

Henry Judware, 61, of Duane Stage, well known local plumber, died Saturday at the Alice Hyde Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in Malone, April 25, 1892, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Judware, and lived all of his life in this vicinity. He was a plumber learning the trade from the late John Brady with whom he worked for several years. The only other time he worked for someone else was when he conducted the Willson Plumbing Co., for Laurence Willson last Spring while the Willsons were south on vacation.

Mr. Judware was three times married. His first wife, the former Mildred Oakes, died 28 years ago.To this union three children were born all of whom survive; LLoyd of Helena, Henry Jr. of Syracuse, and Anthony of Massena. His second wife, the former Gertrude Mitchell, died about 27 years ago and to this union one child, Bernard in the army stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, was born.

In 1933, he married the former Marion Gonyea, who survives. To this union with eight children were born, all of whom survive; Ronald of Albany, Willis, Shirley, Jean, Sandra, Wayne, Gary and Roger, who is an infant, all at home.

Besides his wife and children he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Adaline Eggleston of Bellmont, Mrs. Josephine Wood and Mrs. Lucy Bracey, both of Malone and Mrs. Ida Willard of Syracuse and tow brothers, William and John of Syracuse.

Barbara A. Gaulin, 58, of 9 Grove St., Malone died Thursday, Dec. 26, 1996, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center, Plattsburgh.

Born in Malone, Oct 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Romeo and Martha Hodges Recore.

On May 28, 1955, she was married to Donald Gaulin at St. John Bosco Church. He survives.

Beside her husband, surviving are a son, David of Malone; a brother, Ronald Recore of Malone; a sister, Elizabeth Lamitie of Malone; a granddaughter, Melissa Gaulin of Malone; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gaulin was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Leon and Donald Recore; and a sister Salina Ward.

She lived all her life in Malone and attended schools in Malone.

In her earlier years she worked for Tru-Stitch Moccasin in Malone. She was forced to retire in 1965 due to ill health.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, and knitting.

Mrs. Gaulin was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Roland Menard will officiate.
