Pierre F. Carrier of Bombay was killed early Saturday Morning when his car struck a tree on County Rt. 32 in Bombay.
Malone based State Police said Carriere, 22, was westbound about two-tenths of a mile East of Broad Road when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel at 3:30 a.m. The car went off the south shoulder of the roadway for 149 feet before hitting a tree.
Pierre "Pete" Carrier, 22, of Route 95 Bombay was dead on arrival at Alice Hyde Hospital Saturday, June 2, 1990.
He was born in Verdun, Quebec, on July 17, 1967, the son of Rolland and Diane (Recore) Carriere.
He married Faith Collette, Aug. 31, 1985, in Malone.
Mr. Carriere is survived by his wife; a son, Coby of Malone; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Wardell of Utica; his parents, Rolland Carriere and Diane Wardell; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Recore of Malone; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Mr. Carriere lived all his life in the Malone area and attended Malone schools. He was first employed by Debarr Timber Corp. as a woodsman and later became employed by Agway Energy Products in Malone, where he worked at time of his death. He was a member of Chateaugay Fish and Game Club.
Funeral mass will be held at10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Bosco Church in Malone.

Joseph W. Downer, age six months and 28 days, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Downer of Lower Park Street, died at the Alice Hyde Hospital at 4:15 p.m. Friday.
He had been a patient at the hospital only a short time before he died.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Downer, of Lower Park Street, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. William Recore, also of Lower Park Street.
He is in repose at the home of his parents.

William T. Rabideau, 21, of 27 Underwood Ave., was killed as the result of a motorcycle accident that happend at 3:21 a.m. Sunday in the Bridge Street parking lot.
According to City Police, Rabideau apprantly borrowed a 1982 Yamaha motorcycle but was unfamiliar with its operation. When he attempted to drive it, he crashed into a guard rail, was ejected over the guard rail, and he and the motorcycle plunged 20 feet down an embankment onto some rocks at the bank of the Saranac River. Rabideau was partially in the river when he landed and suffered a fatal head injury.
William T. Rabideau, 21, of Underwood Ave., died Monday, May 28, 1990, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Bridge Street.
