John Russell died in Willow Grove, Penn on 25 Jan 1951 at the age of 36. John
apparently lived nearly all his life in Willow Grove, Pa., except for a period
during World War II when he worked as a leadman at the Consolidated Aircraft
Corp. in San Diego, Cal. He returned to Willow Grove in 1946, after the war
was over. His obituary does not mention anything about a wife or children.
He was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Willow Grove. He is
survived by brothers Ernest Russell (Willow Grove), Raymond Russell (Syracuse)
and Harold Russell (Syracuse) and by sisters Mrs. Fred (Lois) Matthews
(Dallas, Texas), Ruth Russell (Willow Grove) and Mrs. Sarl (Dorothy) Belfatti
(Willow Grove).

Mrs. Cecelia L. Como, 58, of 423 W. Embargo St., Rome, New York, died on 6
April 1986 in Rome Hospital. She was born in Malone, N.Y. on 6 May 1927 to
Edward and Anna Lamica Seymour. She married John F. (Pete) Como on 30 June
1943 in Rome. Mr. Como died 1 March 1978. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs.
Ronald (Michelle) Patterson and three sons, Richard W. Como, Gary L. Como
Sr., and Dennis L. Como, all of rome. She is also survived by four brothers,
Lloyd Seymour Sr., Richard Seymour St., Robert Seymour, and Daniel Seymour,
all of Rome, and 13 grandchildren. A son, John E. Como, died 17 october 1861.
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Rome, N.Y.
COMMENTS
Cecelia told me that she and Pete were introduced by Melvina Lamica, who was
related to her somehow. Cecelia worked for several years at Big Daddy's Sub
Shop in Rome, New York. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and
the Women of the Moose.

I remeber back in 1961 hearing that our cousin John had some kind of heart
trouble. I believe he had an operation to repair damage to his heart and died

Dennis served in the U.S. Marine Corps for one hitch after leaving high school.
In 1971 he began working in the shipping department of the Rome Cable, Co.
in Rome, New York. This is the same firm that his father worked for for many
years. In 1985 he was still there. In 1995 he was retired on a disability
pension due to back problems and was divorced from his wife. His wife said he
was living with another girl and he had a daughter by her who was born around
1987 or so.

Note: !Harold died in infancy. Since neither Charley nor Jimmy ever got
married or had children, only the children of Helen, if any, will be
the descendents of Minnie May Como. I have a picture of Minnie that
shows Jimmy Hoadley and several other people, most of them children,
gathered around Minnie. This leads me to believe that Helen had children
in Syracuse.

Martin, both living in Heuvelton. Frem is mentioned in Dad's autobiography

NEWSPAPER ARTICLE ABOUT WEDDING
Wedding announcement in the newpaper, dated Feb 10th, about the wedding of Catherine Frances Cayen and Joseph E. Martin. Wedding was performed at St. John's Church in Ogdensburg. They were attended by Earl Como and Elizabeth Cayen. They went to New York City for their honeymoon.
